“Skeem Saam” actress Innocent Chipa Sadiki’s R3-million house in Fourways, Gauteng, burnt down on Monday.
Sadiki said no one was harmed in the incident and the cause of the fire was unknown.
“From what we called our home, we now have nothing. Our house burnt down today. Lord, you are still our God,” Sadiki wrote on social media.
Her twin sister, Millicent Mashile, shared videos of the burnt home and asked friends and family to donate money to the Sadiki family.
Mashile said there was a fourth man in the house but their kids are fine and sister and her husband are fine.
“Kulingile Baba, even in the storm,” Mashile wrote on Instagram.
“Let’s help the Sadiki family in any way possible! Also, let’s continue to pray for them.”
Sadiki thanked her fans for the overwhelming support and asked for prayers as they rebuilt from scratch.
Some social media users accused Sadiki of exploiting tragic events to get public sympathy, with one user writing: “It’s genuinely so hard to sympathise with Inno because she uses every tragedy as another opportunity to create content.”
