Eight people were killed in a horrific accident involving a bus and a truck on the R555 between Lavino and Tubatse in the Fetakgomo Tubatse municipality in Limpopo on Thursday morning.
Limpopo traffic authorities said a speeding bus overtook and crashed into a truck that was carrying workers from Mototolo Mine.
The workers were thrown out of the truck onto the road. It remains unclear whether any of the passengers in the bus were harmed.
Eight people were certified dead at the scene while two sustained serious injuries and six others escaped with minor injuries.
No arrests have been made.
