Hollywood stars Halle Berry and Adrien Brody shared another kiss at the Oscars, bringing back memories of their famous 2003 moment.
In a video shared by the Oscars team, Berry, who was presenting an award, gave Brody a friendly greeting before they kissed.
Berry said she did it to get back at Brody for what happened 21 years ago. Back then, Brody surprised her with a kiss on stage after winning his award for the movie The Pianist.
“That was one hell of a night for him and for me as well. To be a part of his moment … tonight I had to pay him back,” Berry told Variety magazine after their red carpet meeting.
The 2003 kiss caused quite a stir. Berry later told TV host Andy Cohen in 2017 that she was surprised when it happened. “I went with it,” she said, but remembered thinking, “What the fuck is going on right now?”
Brody, who was up for an award this year for his role in The Brutalist, hasn’t said anything about their new kiss.
He did say earlier this year that he never meant to make anyone uncomfortable with the 2003 kiss.
Berry mentioned that even though she’s seen Brody at parties over the years, this was their first proper reunion at an event.
