Fresh Gqom duo, the ‘Worst Behaviour’ are breaking into the commercial music scene with a bang!

More than five well known Durban artists have helped introduce the talented DJs, distant relatives Pex (Vukani Buthelezi) and Boi Again (Mfanafuthi Buthelezi) from Inanda township, to the nation by becoming part of the remix of their song Samba Ngolayini.

The 23-year-old Pex and 26-year-old Boi again, released Samba Ngolayini on 18 December with international star DJ Lag and Gento Bareto, a famous skhothane who’s also a house music artist from the Vaal.

“Many artists kept asking to be part of the song when they heard it being played in clubs around Durban,” said the duo’s manager Portia Lines.

Portia told Scrolla.Africa the first version of the song with only Worst Behaviour was first released in 2018 and then they started getting requests from artists to do the remix.

On 5 February the remix was finally released and is currently sitting at number 13 on the Apple Music Charts followed closely by the original at number 19.

Portia said even though the remix consists of big artist’s like Beast, DJ Tira, Tipcee, DJ Lag, Okmalumkoolkat and Gento Bareto – Worst Behaviour is still not signed to a record label.

The song has a dance to it and the name means “everything is going according to plan.”

And everything seems to be going according to plan for the duo who have also released a top music video for the remix under DJ Tira’s Ezase Afro YouTube channel.

“We are working on pushing the music video and making more music. We want to collaborate with other artists as well. The duo can also do afro-house and amapiano,” said Portia.
