Gogo Skhotheni has made a dramatic U-turn — and left many of her fans speechless.
She has officially quit her calling as a sangoma and is now a born-again Christian.
Known to her followers as Gogo Skhotheni, Tumi Motsoeni was baptised on Monday, marking what she calls her spiritual rebirth.
“My birthday marks the day I was born again,” she said.
The baptism was conducted by John Kgabi, known as the Son of John. Tumi also received Holy Communion during the service.
She made her announcement on social media on 3 April 2025, telling her fans that she had stepped away from traditional healing to follow Jesus.
The well-known DJ and reality TV star said she now wants to live a life rooted in “truth, light and love”.
Her journey has inspired many South Africans over the years — but her latest decision may be her boldest yet.
“This is a double celebration,” said Tumi. “The old has gone, the new has come.”
She also shared a Bible verse close to her heart: “Most truly I say to you, unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.” (John 3:5)
