After a week of icy weather, Gauteng is in for a much better weekend.
The South African Weather Service says the province will enjoy cool but clear conditions on Saturday and Sunday.
In Johannesburg, Saturday morning will start at a crisp 8ยฐC before warming to 18ยฐC in the afternoon. It will cool down to around 14ยฐC by evening, with humidity between 40% and 55%. Light winds are expected all day, and no rain is forecast.
Pretoria will be a little warmer. The capital will begin at 9ยฐC and reach 20ยฐC later in the day. It will also stay dry with sunny skies.

Sunday will follow the same trend. Johannesburg will begin the day at 9ยฐC and climb to a high of 19ยฐC. There might be a few clouds in the evening, but nothing to worry about. Winds will stay gentle.
Pretoria will again be the warmest spot, starting in the high single digits and peaking at 21ยฐC. Skies will stay clear and dry.
It is a welcome break after the biting cold earlier this week. Whether itโs a park visit, a family braai, or just soaking up some sun, Gauteng residents can enjoy a fine winter weekend.
