The glittering Konka club in Soweto is known as an exclusive establishment where one can often find South Africa’s rich and famous hanging out.
But on Monday, it welcomed through its doors a famous Hollywood actor and her NBA star husband.
Konka’s social media pages posted a picture of actor Gabrielle Union and her basketball player spouse Dwayne Wade at the club.
The couple are in the country to launch Gabrielle’s Flawless hair care line.
Konka, owned by businessman Kutlwano Pitso, is famously known on social media for its expensive bottles of premium alcohol, with some bottles retailing at R14,000.
The actress has also visited Zanzibar, as part of her #WadeWorldTour in celebration of her 50th birthday.
She went on to Ghana and Namibia before coming to South Africa.
The Bring it On actor was spotted at Clicks stores around Joburg where her haircare line will be exclusively sold in the country.
On her Instagram account, Union wrote that as they start the journey across the world for her 50th birthday, she wants to appreciate those surrounding her.
“I just want to luxuriate in my gratitude for my family, my amazing friends and all the friends I haven’t even met in person who have kept this train on the tracks this year, even after I collided with myself.
“Thank y’all for rockin with the old homie. I appreciate you guys more than you can imagine.”
