Nigeria’s music giants, WizKid and Burna Boy, have teamed up for their single “B. D’OR”, an abbreviation of the Ballon d’Or, the prize handed out to the world’s best footballer every year.

Directed by DK, the 3:12 minute-long music video features the two Grammy Award-winning artists cruising around on jet skis before accepting the illustrious football prize.

Discussions around the Ballon d’Or tend to centre around who the GOAT – meaning greatest of all time – is. WizKid and Burna Boy’s imagined triumph might be seen as a not-so-subtle statement that they are the Goats of the musical world.

And after accepting the award in the video, the superstars slice the trophy in half and drink champagne from it.

The music video is currently sitting at number 17 on YouTube’s trending music charts, with close to two million views since it was released last Friday.

Both artists are waiting eagerly to see if they can cement their legendary statuses at the Grammy Awards later this month. Both WizKid and Burna Boy are up for two awards each. The 64th Grammy Awards will take place on 31 January at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles in the United States.
