PICK OF THE SPORT: With fixtures in England still being postponed, fixtures in and around Europe take centre stage this weekend.

➤ With mammoth clashes such as Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea vs Liverpool being moved to a later date due to the Queen’s passing, football fans have looked elsewhere for blockbuster fixtures.

And they had to look no further than Paris Saint-Germain facing Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday night, the two have become fierce rivals in recent years with their clashes often hotly contested.

Sitting at the top of the Ligue 1 table, PSG will be looking to the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar to gain their seventh win in eight matches this domestic season.

The attacking trio have managed 41 goal contributions between them in only 10 fixtures across all competitions this season.

It seems an impossible task for Lyon but they have the ability and have shown to ruffle the feathers of the French giants in the past.

The fixture is set for 8.45pm on Sunday night.

DStv will not be showing the fixture but Scrolla.Africa will provide a match report for its readers after the game.

Fans can watch the Madrid derby between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid on Sunday night.

Real Madrid have once again been in fantastic form this season with their neighbours somewhat struggling to get going.

This is one of those matches where form goes out the window and everything is on the line for the fans who are hoping for bragging rights.

The Madrid derby will take place on Sunday night at 9pm, live on DStv channel 204.

➤ With the Rugby Championship still wide open, it’s all to play for, for the Springboks when they take on Argentina in Buenos Aires on Saturday evening.

Not surprisingly South Africa are fielding an unchanged starting line-up after beating Australia convincingly in Sydney two weeks ago. There are some tantalising changes on the bench, however. Look out for Elrigh Louw and Andre Esterhuizen to prove themselves off the bench.

The Springbok clash can be watched live on DStv channel 201 and 211 at 8pm.

➤ The United Rugby Championship that Western Province won in great style last year kicks off on Friday with six European matches and a tantalising match-up between South African neighbours the Lions from Johannesburg and the Bulls from Pretoria. “We expect to get a better start this year,” said Bulls director of rugby, Jake White.

They should, seeing as last year the South African teams started so badly – but still managed to win. It is also an opportunity to see the highly underrated flyhalf Chris Smith in action.

The United Rugby Championship action can be watched live throughout the weekend on DStv channel 201 and 211.
