- The healers shared harsh words about each other on social media after claims about Skhotheni’s husband started the fight.
Two of South Africa’s most talked-about traditional healers have forgiven each other after weeks of insults on social media.
Gogo Skhotheni (Tumi Motsoeneng) and Gogo Maweni (Makgotso Makopo) say they’ve sorted out their differences in private.
Gogo Maweni says she feels bad about what happened. “We were both aware of the situation and the things we said to each other; we spoke and made peace,” she said.
The two plan to celebrate their new friendship at Skhotheni’s nightclub.
“Gogo Skhotheni must come and spend her ‘tokoloshe’ money on expensive bottles of champagne,” Maweni joked.
Though their husbands are friends, both women made it clear they fixed things on their own. “Those two must not dare take credit; they did not bring us together. This was our planning,” Maweni told Zimoja.
The fight started during a livestream with social media star Dominic Zaca. Things got ugly when Maweni and her friends claimed Skhotheni’s husband, Monde, was asked to sleep with Dominic. Skhotheni said this wasn’t true.
She hit back by saying Maweni wore fake Gucci clothes and didn’t own her cars.
