Samke Nomagugu and Hlengiwe Nkwanyana are not your ordinary mother and daughter.

The two are adult content producers and they are not ashamed of it.

On Facebook Nkwanyana, 48, is known as an older woman who loves and sells sex while Samke uses the OnlyFans platform from which she shares her porn material for a fee.

Both of them are not shy about the work they do and they regard criticism as a form of publicity that brings them more clients.

Samke, a qualified teacher, says her mother introduced her to the profession.

“I knew what she did and saw that she gave me and my siblings a good life and when I couldn’t find a job, I approached her and asked her to train me and although she was reluctant at first, she said she would rather I learned the business from her,” she said.

The 24-year-old Samke said although she started the business in KwaZulu-Natal, she realised that most of her clients were in Gauteng.

“I moved to Randburg and I couldn’t be happier, I’m very busy and I lack nothing.”

She said she still goes to her mother for tips and advice.

Samke’s mother Hlengiwe said sex work saved her.

“It has made me independent and financially stable. I did it when I was at my lowest but soon realised that it was a lucrative career if one did it professionally and in a responsible way,” she said.

She said she doesn’t care about those who blame her for introducing her daughter to sex work.

“There are many sex workers and they have parents and sometimes partners who don’t know what they do. I have a great relationship with my daughter and know her every move, she makes money and I make money. We’re happy,” she said.
