Family believes Youngins actress was poisoned before death

South African actress Londiwe Faith Nene, known for her role as Aunt Thuli in the popular TV show Youngins, has died at the age of 35.

Her family confirmed that she passed away on Saturday, 11 October, and said they are deeply heartbroken by her sudden death.

“As a family, we are heartbroken and ask for privacy as we deal with this pain. Your prayers and support mean a lot to us,” the family said in a statement.

Speaking to Sunday World, Londiwe’s sister, Lethukuthula Nene, said the family believes she may have died from poisoning.

“It looks like she drank poison. We are waiting for the final report from professionals,” she said.

She added that Londiwe had shown no signs of sadness or depression before her death.

“We really don’t know why she did this. Everything seemed fine,” she said.

Londiwe was a rising star in South Africa’s television industry. Besides her standout role in Youngins, she also appeared in Outlaws, Adulting and Aunties, where she played Rachel Ndlovu.

The family said funeral details will be shared once arrangements are complete.
