The third and final T20 International between England and South Africa was abandoned without a ball being bowled at Trent Bridge due to rain.
The series ended in a 1-1 tie.
The Proteas won the first match in Cardiff via the DLS method, but England bounced back with a record-breaking 146-run win in the second match at Old Trafford on Friday night.
In that match, England posted a record total of *
304-2, led by Phil Salt’s explosive 141 off 60 balls and Jos Buttler’s blistering 83 off 30 balls.
Jofra Archer’s 3-25 also helped England secure a convincing win.
The South African team will now head back home before embarking on a tour of Pakistan in October as their World Test Championship title defending cycle continues.
