Rise Mzansi – Thousands of Rise Mzansi supporters marched down Hanover Street in Cape Town to the Western Cape provincial legislature on Wednesday to demand services for black and coloured communities. The DA-led government has been accused of concentrating on white suburbs while blacks and coloureds live in squalor in Cape Town. “A government that denies you basic services is a government that doesn’t care. We are standing with all residents of this province who have been neglected by the DA government,” said Rise Mzansi leader Songezo Zibi.

DA – Party leader John Steenhuisen has promised farmers in the Northern Cape that the DA plans to introduce policing via drone technology to track stock theft. “Drone technology is now a game changer for policing in rural areas. It’s a game changer for dealing with stock theft and farm attacks,” said Steenhuisen.

IFP – Thami Ntuli, the IFP premier candidate for KwaZulu-Natal, is convinced the party is on track to unseat the ANC in the province “We are inspired by the recent victories that we received in by-elections, even for the upward trajectory during the 2021 elections wherein we regained most of the municipalities and won the wards that were historically controlled by the ruling party.”

ANC – President Cyril Ramaphosa took the ANC’s campaign to Kamhlushwa Stadium in Mpumalanga on Wednesday. Ramaphosa is on a last push ahead of the ANC Siyanqoba rally at FNB Stadium on Saturday. Ramaphosa’s deputy, Paul Mashatile, campaigned at Lephalale Shopping Centre in the Waterberg region in Limpopo, where he interacted with the community, handing out ANC T-shirts and other regalia. Thousands of ANC Youth League supporters marched against crime in Soshanguve township outside Pretoria. The area under the DA-led coalition that runs the City of Tshwane has witnessed a surge of serious and violent crimes, including murders and hijackings, every week. Minister of Police Bheki Cele has set up a special unit of police officers to raid various hotspots in the township and confiscate illegal firearms.

EFF – Party secretary Marshall Dlamini has revived the party’s campaign in KZN. The EFF marched through Durban on Tuesday in a massive display of over 10,000 volunteers. The party received over 350,000 votes in KZN in the last elections.
