Abha Club manager Pitso Mosimane and his wife Moira Tlhagale have been sued for R5.7-million by their domestic worker over injuries she sustained while cleaning their home.
Dorothy Sikirivao filed the case in the Johannesburg High Court regarding a freak accident that occurred in April 2021 inside the home of Africa’s highest-paid coach.
According to Sunday World, Sikirivao had a fall while removing debris from the house, resulting in her becoming borderline disabled and losing her ability to fall pregnant.
She sustained spine-related injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Specialists then diagnosed her with blood clots in the brain, dislocation of a shoulder, bone fractures, pressure on the spinal cord, dislocation of the hip and dislocation of the right leg.
The couple reportedly paid her medical bills initially but stopped without providing any reason.
After granting her a month of sick leave immediately following the accident, they allegedly later coerced Sikirivao to continue working. This reportedly resulted in her injuries getting worse.
The amounts requested, as per the report, include R1.7-million for loss of income, R2-million for past and future medical expenses, R1-million for loss of amenities of life and R1-million for pain and suffering.
