Dimakatso, known to fans as Dimahr, has released her fourth studio album, DIMAHR.
The album carries her name. She says it marks a new chapter in her music journey.
It comes out under Concrete Jungle Studios and Publishing. Botanist Mr Lamington produced the project.
The 10 track album reflects her growth as an artist and storyteller. She uses it to speak about identity, resilience and creative independence.
Each song blends strong lyrics with layered production. The sound draws from hip hop, dancehall and reggae. It remains rooted in her own style.
One of the standout tracks is “Program”. It features Butterworth born DJ, songwriter and rapper singer Sapokazi Pokwana, known as Rozar.
Rozar is from the Eastern Cape. She brings a fresh and youthful voice to the song.
Her contribution adds energy and complements Dimahr’s presence on the track.
Dimahr is a two time South African Music Awards nominee for Best Reggae Album. She received nominations for Proof of Life at the 30th awards and Flaws in Frame at the 31st awards.
She is also a three time Basadi in Music Awards nominee for Reggae Artist of the Year.
With DIMAHR, she adds another chapter to her catalogue. She continues building her place in South Africa’s music scene.
