Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido is currently under investigation by Nigerian police following allegations of bullying and threatening fellow artist Tiwa Savage.
The conflict between the two famous musicians reportedly started after Tiwa Savage posted a photo on her Instagram story, which included the mother of one of Davido’s children.
Tiwa Savage, in her police report, claims that Davido reacted negatively to her post.
She accuses him of using “very disrespectful, malicious and derogatory words” against her.
She also alleged that Davido sent individuals to warn her to “be careful in Lagos”, which she took as a threat to her life, her privacy, and her dignity.
Davido has not publicly responded to the allegations. The incident has led to both artists unfollowing each other on Instagram.
Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesperson for the Lagos state police, confirmed to the Punch news website that the police are investigating the matter after receiving Tiwa Savage’s report.
