Radio stations across the nation are announcing their annual reshuffles now – and none is bigger than 5FM which announced that Dan Corder from Good Hope FM will be taking over the breakfast show.

“5FM has always been the coolest radio station,” Corder said.

“It is the station of the future. Together with our loyal 5FM fans I can make this the radio station of my dreams.”

The rest of the updated breakfast team will be Mathapelo Moloi on News, Marli van Eeden on Traffic and Xoli Zondo on Sport.

A statement from 5FM said they hoped their reshuffled lineup adds fresh and young talent into the ranks.

The rest of their lineup sees Zanele Potelwa take over the afternoon slot during the week from 12 noon to 3pm while Roger Goode takes over the 6pm to 7pm slot on weekdays and will host a longer version of his Friday show from 7pm to 10pm.

Motsweding FM also announced minor updates to their lineup.

“The current lineup necessitates stronger emphasis on cultural values, identity, preserving and development of Setswana heritage,” they said in a statement.

The only addition they made was the new ‘Konka Club Mix’ which is a two, one hour DJ set hosted by in-house and guest DJs.

Luthando Soshsa and Pearl Modiadie have announced their exit from Metro FM.
