South African rapper Da L.E.S was hospitalised after suffering a stroke last Friday.
The 39-year-old artist announced over the weekend that he could not attend his birthday celebration because of his health.
In a statement released on Sunday, his family shared the news of his stroke.
“The family of South African musician Da L.E.S is sad to inform the public that he suffered a stroke at home on Friday, 26 July, and has been hospitalised,” the statement said.
They confirmed to his fans that he is in a stable condition but said this is a difficult time for his loved ones.
