American rapper Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, professionally known as Snoop Dogg, has asked Nigerian singer Tems for a collaboration.

In a video that went viral, the 51-year-old award-winning rapper said he wanted to make a hit song with Tems.

“So Tems, when are we going to make a record? You know I am a fan. I had to get that out the way, now let’s get to the s*it. Let’s make a f***ing hit record, girl,” said Snoop Dogg.

“You’ve been having my whole family dancing to your sh*t. I need one with you and you can post that. Happy new year from D O double G,” he added.

Tems rose to the limelight after she featured on Wizkid’s globally acclaimed hit record titled “Essence” off his Made in Lagos album.

Outside her recognition for her effort on Wizkid’s track, she’s also gained international traction for her songs like “Try Me”, “Damages” and “Crazy Tings”, among others.

Her rise to fame opened doors for international collaboration with Future and Drake in “Wait For U”.

She also co-wrote “Lift Me Up” by Rihanna and did a cover for Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

Just recently, Tems received nods at various prestigious awards, including the BET Awards, the Soul Train Music Awards, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (Naacp) Image Awards, among others.
