Coventry City delivered a spectacular stoppage time comeback over Wolves to make the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time in 37 years.

The away end at Molineux was a marvel to behold as Ellis Simms put the Championship visitors in the lead with a place at Wembley up for grabs.

With seven minutes of normal time to play, the hosts scored and then scored again, with Rayan Ait Nouri and Hugo Bueno putting Wolves in front.

There would be one more huge twist in the tale, though, with Simms finding the back of the net in the 97th minute before Haji Wright made it 3-2 in sensational style to prevent extra time and win the game for Coventry.

The upset to Premier League Wolves , by a side who sank from the top to the fourth tier of English football before sealing two promotions again, is exactly what the FA Cup is known for producing.

In Saturday’s second game, Manchester City beat Newcastle United 2-0 to book their place in the last four.

The remaining semi-finalists will be decided on Sunday as Manchester United host Liverpool at Old Trafford after Chelsea take on Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.
