Ricky Rick’s legacy continued as the annual Cotton Fest managed to shine, even with load shedding taking a toll.
The festival goers spent the day in the sun and rain, enjoying a variety of activities in Johannesburg.
Scrolla.Africa attended Cotton Fest 2023, and experienced the video, the energy and everything that has to do with fashion, music and a good time with people from all walks of life.
The event included basketball matches, photo booths and stalls of local bands such as Adoozy Power, The legendary barber, KIC, Grande Africa, #BAP$ and many more.
This year’s cotton Fest star studded line up included K.O, Uncle Waffles, Nadia Nakai, Blvckie and many more.
The majority of the festival goers that spoke to Scrolla.Africa described the event as amazing with great music and even better people.
Scrolla.Africa spoke to Ayanda Daweti, a famed actor on the hit series Gomora, who said: ” I came here with expectations of good music and a good time and believe you me, I am not disappointed.”
Overall Cotton Fest 2023 in Johannesburg was a major success and played its part in honouring the late rapper Ricky Rick, who created the event to allow up and coming artists to showcase their talent.
