A video which appeared to show a female police officer forcing her 10-year-old son to have sex with her, shocked the nation last week.
A female police constable was arrested on Friday and will appear in court on Monday. This was confirmed by Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.
According to reports, the officer allegedly carried out the dreadful act because she thought she was the victim of a curse.
Idah Mokwena, a person close to the constable, wrote on a social media post that the woman had experienced relationship issues all her life; every man that she met left her eventually.
“Hence, she went to a Nigerian pastor to consult, and the pastor told her that she must sleep with her son and send a video so that he could break the curse,” Mokwena wrote.
The pastor apparently started blackmailing the policewoman, telling her to pay him or he’d publish the video. But the policewoman didn’t have the money, so the Nigerian pastor went on to publish the video.
