Manchester City and Arsenal did what they could to pile the pressure on Liverpool who face a tricky trip to Old Trafford on Sunday.

Saturday’s Premier League action did not disappoint, with the Citizens kicking off proceedings with a win in a goal fest away to Crystal Palace.

Kevin de Bruyne scored two and assisted one as Erling Haaland got back in the goals, too, with Pep Guardiola’s side winning 4-2 to keep the title race a three-horse one for yet another week.

In the evening game, the Gunners continued their back-and-forth shift from second to summit as Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard helped them to a 3-0 win over Brighton at the Amex.

Arsenal are yet to have trailed in any league matches this calendar year, with the 11 game run their longest without falling behind in almost two decades.

Mikel Arteta’s side are ensuring their goal difference is kept up should the title depend on it, too, with their +51 GD the highest they have had in the competition since the end of the 2004/05 season.

On the goal rush, Aston Villa and Brentford delivered a thrilling 3-3 draw while Everton and Newcastle picked up 1-0 wins over Burnley and Fulham.

Luton defeated Bournemouth at Kenilworth Road and West Ham got a 2-1 away win over Wolves.

Sunday’s action kicks off at 16:30 live from Manchester before Chelsea make a trip to Sheffield United and Spurs host Nottingham Forest in the evening encounters.
