South African rapper Cassper Nyovest married his childhood friend Pulane Mojaki in a traditional wedding over the weekend.
Footage released on social media, from the evening of 5 April showed the couple hand-in-hand, singing and dancing, with Pulane dressed in a traditional Tswana wedding outfit.
However, the reaction online was mixed, with some criticising Pulane for being overly focused on her phone during the event, raising concerns about her commitment to the marriage.
“They are singing for her and she’s on her phone. Mxm,” one user wrote.
Another user asked why she needed to be on the phone, “I mean whatever’s going on, couldn’t she wait until the family is done? Nah, man.”
“Being on your phone while your husband is there to fetch you, along with his family, is the most disrespectful thing,” another wrote on X.
