Tshegofatso Mabasa, the Orlando Pirates striker currently tied as the top scorer in the DStv Premiership, is attracting interest from clubs in Europe and South Africa.
His agent, Gary Cassisa, confirmed that several clubs, including Romanian powerhouse FCSB, formerly FC Steaua București, are interested in him.
FCSB, set to secure their spot in the next Uefa Champions League season, would offer Mabasa a potential opportunity to compete at one of the highest levels in club football.
Mamelodi Sundowns, a top contender in the South African Premiership, had hoped to secure Mabasa during the January transfer window. But Pirates extended his contract until June 2026, delaying any immediate move.
Pirates are reportedly prepared to sell Mabasa to make room for emerging talent.
Cassisa emphasised the importance of Mabasa staying focused on his performance. He advised him to continue scoring to enhance his appeal and increase his chances of winning the Golden Boot in the league and the Nedbank Cup, FarPost reported.
