Reality TV star and former Big Brother housemate Ashley Ogle has confirmed the end of her relationship with Season 5 winner Sweet Guluva.
The couple became one of Mzansi’s most talked-about pairs after meeting on the show. Their chemistry made them fan favourites both on and off screen.
Ashley, from Durban, revealed the split during an interview on Lasizwe’s YouTube show Drink or Tell the Truth.
“Sweet Guluva broke up with me. I didn’t break up with him,” she said. “I was in love with him, and still am.”
She admitted the break-up caught her by surprise. “Usually, you can see something coming, but for me it was a shock. It’s been about a month now.”
Ashley said the reasons given for the split made little sense to her. “He said something about working, but it felt like he was hiding something.”
Despite her heartbreak, Ashley insisted she would never have ended the relationship herself.
“I would never dump someone. Even if I’m in a toxic relationship, I wouldn’t. When I make a commitment, it’s forever,” she said.
