Anele Mdoda has agreed to pay her former domestic worker R90,000 to shut down a fight at the CCMA.

Thuleleni Florence Mlalazi took the South African media personality to the CCMA. She said Mdoda treated her unfairly and fired her.

Mlalazi said she lost her job after she failed to pick up Mdoda’s child from a soccer event on her day off. She said she later went to fetch the child.

The two women also fought over a car. Mlalazi said she owned a vehicle but was talked into trading it in. She said Mdoda took the car payments straight from her salary.

Mlalazi said the car was later swapped again. She said the new car was registered under Mdoda’s name without her permission.

She said Mdoda’s husband, Bonelela Buzza James, was also involved in the car dispute.

Mdoda denied the claims. She said she had the right to fire Mlalazi. Mdoda accused the worker of theft, extortion and making threats.

The two sides settled the case in August 2025. Mdoda paid R20,000 first and will pay the rest of the R90,000 in installments.
