The Zulu Royal aunt who opposed the nomination of King Misuzulu kaZwelithini to ascend to the throne is now planning a private meeting to offer him advice and encourage other rebels to back the new king.
“Misuzulu is my child so I have a duty as his aunt to give him advice so he can take the Zulu nation forward as his father did,” Princess Thembi Zulu Ndlovu told Scrolla.Africa from her Newcastle home.
“I’m planning a private meeting to meet my brother’s child at Khangelamankengana where we will have time together to discuss more fundamental issues.”
She said she also wanted to warn him about those who want to capture him and control his leadership.
Princess Ndlovu led the “royal clique” that was not happy at all about some of the issues regarding the nomination of King Misuzulu. She couldn’t attend the Royal Family meeting at Khangelamankengana Palace in Nongoma because she had her weekly appointment with a dialysis specialist in Newcastle. She has been receiving dialysis since 2007.
“The new king knows very well that I am a no nonsense aunt,” she said.
“I have also held a private meeting with other Royal kids to tell them to support the one who has been appointed on the throne.”
On Friday, the Royal Family formally accepted King Misuzulu to lead the Zulu Nation.
Among the many royal family members, were Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi and senior Prince Vanana of KwaMinyamanzi.
