The ICC T20 Cricket World Cup saw its first abandoned game on Tuesday as multiple rain interruptions meant just 10 overs were bowled between England and Scotland in Barbados.
The age-old rivalry between the two British nations saw the Scots opting to bat first on what looked like a dry wicket.
The conditions would soon be anything but dry, though, as the start was delayed by almost an hour.
Once play got underway, openers George Munsey and Michael Jones got off to a good start, hitting 49 for no wicket in the powerplay.
Two balls later, a much lengthier stoppage was in store. This time, overs were lost and the game was converted to a 10 over per side contest.
Scotland got to 90/0 after 10, with DLS adjusting England’s target to 109.
Unfortunately there would no run chase as the weather gods in Barbados sent down yet another shower.
In Guyana, Afghanistan picked up a big win over Uganda, with the African nation bowled out for just 58 while attempting to chase down 184. In Group D, the Netherlands defeated Nepal by six wickets in Dallas.
On Wednesday, India are in action for the first time when they face Ireland in New York.
