Some KwaZulu-Natal musicians claim that the special treatment given to Babes Wodumo by IFP chairperson Thami Ntuli is negatively affecting artists who have performed at IFP campaigns since 2021.
“Others have even raised allegations that the way Ntuli is crazy about Babes Wodumo you may swear that they are dating,” one of them said.
He alleged that Ntuli and his bodyguards left the IFP manifesto launch rally in Ulundi on 7 April to rush to the local Garden Court Hotel to check on Babes Wodumo after she made a call that she was being harassed by Bullistic.
Ntuli laughed when Scrolla.Africa approached him to give his side of the story.
“This is just crazy. That’s all,” he said.
Another source said that when Ntuli had a good relationship with DJ Tira’s sister, Thatharingo Khathi, DJ Tira was getting all the big IFP gigs, especially in 2021.
“This thing has led to musicians to complain about the relationship between Ntuli and Babes Wodumo,” another source said.
Scrolla.Africa has learned that some politicians are now trying to get pictures of Ntuli and Babes Wodumo together so that they can be used to attack the IFP.
Babes Wodumo couldn’t be reached for comment by the time of publication.
