Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Happy Mashiane believes that they are going to use their match against Maritzburg United to turn around their season.
Amakhosi face the Team of Choice in the DStv Premiership match on Wednesday at Harry Gwala Stadium, Kick-off 18:00.
Amakhosi last recorded a victory in the DStv Premiership against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) in January and have now gone five games without a win.
Happy Mashiane says his side doesn’t belong in 10th on the log and they have to start collecting maximum points to advance their position.
“We put ourselves in this situation, so we have to fight very hard to get out of this position and climb up the log standing.” Happy Mashiane told PSL Media.
“It’s not good for a big team like Kaizer Chiefs to be in this position.” Said Happy Mashiane.
“We will take one game at a time and we will use Maritzburg United match to turn around our season.”
Despite struggling in the league, United defeated Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 in the reverse at FNB Stadium, with Judas Moseamedi scoring the brace on the day.
Maritzburg United have become Chief’s hoodoo team of late with Judas Moseamedi terrorising and tormenting Kaizer Chiefs.
Mashiane said what makes Maritzburg United a difficult team to beat is because they have speedy players.
“Maritzburg United don’t concede that much, they have a good team and they dominate opposition so it won’t easy to beat them,” Mashiane concluded.
