An incredible second half display from a youthful Liverpool side saw them come back from behind to put Luton Town away by four goals to one at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s side went into the game without ten first team stars, including top scorers Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota.
The lack of fire power was missed initially, as Chiedozie Ogbene put the visitors in front after just 12 minutes and held on to their lead until the break.
Once the whistle for the second half had blown, however, the Reds came out revitalised and attacked the Kop end with conviction.
Virgil Van Dijk spurred the comeback on with a powerful header shortly before the hour mark; and Alexis Mac Allister would it make it a duo of assists as he set-up Cody Gakpo moments later for the lead.
Luis Diaz made it three; and on his 100th appearance, Harvey Elliott would get one in stoppage time as the Merseyside giants went four points clear at the summit of the Premier League table.
Klopp’s mentality giants have now recovered 22 points from losing positions in the league this season, more than any other team have done.
They next face the prospect of some silverware as they make the trip to Wembley for a Carabao Cup final clash with Chelsea on Sunday.
