Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White is not just scoring on the football field, but also in the kitchen, thanks to his South African girlfriend’s cooking skills.
The English footballer has developed a taste for a traditional South African dish — mielie meal, known as pap to most South Africans.
Gibbs-White, a key player for Nottingham Forest, shared in a SuperSport interview that his girlfriend introduced him to pap.
Despite its typical breakfast use, he enjoys it as dinner or even dessert. “It’s nice, it’s incredible,” he said.
Britney de Villiers, a South African online influencer, model, and law graduate is Gibbs-White’s life partner and the woman who introduced him to pap.
The couple recently became parents to a baby boy born last November.
While De Villiers has been teaching him Afrikaans, Gibbs-White jokingly revealed that he has learnt only a few words so far — but they are the naughty kind of words that can’t be shared publicly!
