A birthday party for a two-year-old in Connecticut, USA had an unexpected visitor when a bear with a sweet tooth showed up uninvited and rudely started eating the cupcakes.
To make matters worse, the bear, who emerged from the woods, sat at the table and ate all the cupcakes in front of the terrified guests, reports Business Insider.
Rauf and Laura Majidian, who threw a birthday party for their son Cyrus, managed to take a video of the bear eating all the treats on the table before walking back into the forest.
The cupcakes were clearly a hit as the video showed the animal licking his lips after each cupcake.
Laura described the scene as adults running around trying to gather armfuls of children who were running and dancing around the garden.
“I’m a little scared and a little freaked out, but everyone is safe,” Laura told WTNH News.
Several guests fled to the garage while others ran to their cars and used the hooter to try to scare off the bear, but the cupcakes were just too good.
“All the grownups were screaming at the bear but he wasn’t fazed,” father Rauf said.
The bear didn’t seem to be aggressive. His only interest appears to have been the cupcakes.
It’s a safe bet that this birthday party will remain in the Majidians’ memory reel for some time, although Cyrus won’t remember too much of his first bear encounter.
