From Katlehong in Ekurhuleni, house music duo MFR Souls have scheduled the release of their latest hit single’s music video for Friday, 3 June.
The single was released on 5 May, and Spharaphara has proved to be one of their most loved songs, featuring a fresh kid on the commercial scene, TS The Vocalist.
MFR Souls are contending for the “king of amapiano” throne, as they are one of the first artists to produce amapiano. Kabza De Small enjoys being called the ruler of the genre, as one of the producers who constantly releases hit after hit with different musicians.
Spharaphara is a word used mostly in Gauteng townships, meaning the act of “train surfing” by jumping in and out of a moving train doing different dangerous tricks.
And in the song, TS The Vocalist sings about doing the tricks but in a form of dance, in Zone 6, a section in Orlando, Soweto in Johannesburg.
If you are into the music of amapiano blood brothers Daliwonga and Sir Trill, you are likely to fall in love with Spharaphara.
“So excited to be dropping our new music video for #Spharaphara this coming Friday 3rd June EXCLUSIVELY on Channel O,” wrote MFR Souls on their Twitter account.
The music video, which had its behind the scenes shared first on Thursday, will be available for streaming from 5pm on YouTube.
