Up and coming young female rapper and singer from Johannesburg Indigo Stella, has released a music video for her single “Company” featuring Nasty C.
The video was released under her recording label InterStella Entertainment.
This is an interesting feature as the artists come from different ends of the South African hip hop scene. Stella Indigo is still trying to reach her first 4 000 subscribers on YouTube and Nasty C is at the very top with an American Record deal.
Putting that aside, though rough at the edges with her singing voice, one can feel Indigo Stella’s presence when she raps, despite Nasty C proving who’s been in the game the longest.
Whether it’s a paid feature or not, Nasty C deserves the applause for entertaining features from upcoming artists even though he is signed with a big label such as Def Jam. Nasty C not only risked his career by being featured on the 20-year-old’s love song, but he also pitched for the music video which shows how much he respects the craft.
Meanwhile the music video which embraces the brightness of Soweto with it’s two iconic towers, was produced by Legacy Films and Shuffle HD with Director David Bates JR and is now sitting at close to 50 thousand views on YouTube.
