Former Royal AM soccer club boss and reality television star Shauwn Mkhize is showing off her money on social media while fighting a big tax bill.
Mkhize posted videos on Instagram showing a helicopter parked in the yard of her home. Another short video showed her getting inside the helicopter.
Before these videos, Mkhize posted a computer-generated picture to celebrate her birthday. The artificial picture showed her looking much younger and thinner while holding onto a helicopter.
Many people on social media made fun of her for posting the artificial picture.
Mkhize spoke back to the people laughing at her. She said she was simply getting a better way to travel.
She told her followers that they should accept changes when it is time to upgrade how they move around. She wrote that the upgrade will show up in their own yards.
Mkhize also shared a message about having faith and staying strong through hard times. She wrote about trusting God and believing in her journey.
People kept making jokes about her on the internet. Social media user Musa Khawula posted about Mkhize. People asked questions about how she looked at her surprise birthday party where she wore no makeup.
While Mkhize shows off the helicopter, she is fighting a serious problem with the South African Revenue Service (Sars).
The tax agency wants to get back about R40-million in unpaid taxes from her.
Mkhize is trying to stop Sars from taking her things. The tax agency wants to take her large Durban home to pay the money she owes.
Sars also wants to take her farm and her soccer club, Royal AM.
