Durban: The outspoken President of the Bhinca Nation Ngizwe Mchunu has refused to withdraw the allegations of R10-million corruption he made against EFF leader Julius Malema. Mchunu made the explosive allegations and claimed that the revelations were made to him by EFF Gauteng Chairperson Nkululeko Dunga. Dunga has since called on Mchunu to apologize as he rejected all the claims that he told Mchunu that Malema was directly linked to the eKurhuleni corruption. “I stand by my statement that Malema is corrupt to the core and I was told by his Gauteng Chairperson Dunga that Malema was involved in R10-million corruption of eKurhuleni Metro. If he claims that I am lying he must go to court,” said Mchunu in an interview with Scrolla.Africa. According to Mchunu, this is not random corruption but a structured system of financial misconduct that has been operating quietly while ordinary South Africans continue to struggle.
uMgungundlovu: Stephen Moore MP, DA Spokesperson on Water and Sanitation, will visit uMngeni Local Municipality, where he will be accompanied by various DA public representatives to inspect failing water infrastructure by uMgungundlovu District Municipality. As uMngeni endures intermittent water supply, the DA delegation will expose the District Municipality’s failures. Moore says reliable water supply is a constitutional right and an essential basic service for residents and businesses.
eThekwini: ActionSA in eThekwini expresses its deep disappointment at the conduct of the IFP, as they accused the party of presenting itself as opposed to illegal immigration in public, while acting very differently when it matters most. ActionSA KZN Chairperson Zwakele Mncwango said last week the IFP stood alongside communities during marches raising concerns about illegal immigration. “They marched with residents and appeared to support the very issues our motion sought to address. Yet today, when presented with a formal and lawful opportunity to engage these issues through Council, the same IFP blocked the motion from even being debated. IFP leadership must stop acting as though it is against illegal immigration,” said Mncwango.
